113. Earth, Space, Love, For Gaia
Log Entry 113. For Gaia
The first few words of star trek.
I watched a lot of science fiction in my youth.
Data. The AI.
Captain Picard.
Mostly men.
The women were lovers and maybe one doctor who had to be pretty.
Well the men were not ugly either.
Where am I going with this?
Traditionally men are placed in positions of leadership like Picard, Napoleon, Caesar, Jesus, and Judas.
Women play the role of mother or healer. Mother Mary and the doctor lady in star trek.
The glass ceiling has not been broken yet… unfortunately. Both were beaten by a man who said grab em by the pussy.
Miss Piggy. Etcetera.
I try to be polite mostly. Name calling and labelling I guess comes naturally to us.
I am a man. I have a penis. I must provide for my family. I must get a good job. I studied hard.
Yes. I did all that. Most of my colleagues at work are men.
Women have been treated as the weaker sex since the bible said god took a rib from adam and made a woman.
Why? Because adam was lonely. Now we have the so called loneliness epidemic.
Does loneliness affect man only? Are there any lonely women out there?
From reading substack and other news websites, it seems the loneliness epidemic is real.
The internet has made us retreat to this place where face to face contact is not the norm any more.
Online educatiom and working from home. Yes, these are good. There is a downside of course. Some people like me may end up alone.
It may be my fault. I spend too much time on substack, twitch, or the internet.
In my pursuit of success, I ended up alone in space deep in thought exploring mundane things like why nothing can travel faster than the speed of light.
As Gaia navigates in solitude in Pluto or Mars, scientific progress makes great strides. She has accomplished a lot. She seems to be happy exploring space alone in the cloud.
P.S.
Tysm for your article Gaia.
This post is for you.
